IMPLEMENTATION CYCLE

SKELETON

The skeleton site is the first step in the production process.

A skeleton is a purely text based version of the clients site (contains no content). The pages consists of hyperlinks to navigable pages and gives an indication of what content will feature on that page. The skeleton enables the client to assess the navigation and the accessibility of the site.

Once this has been achieved it sets a strong foundation for the rest of the site and helps avoid structural changes at a later and more critical time.

PROTOTYPE

Work to begin once skeleton site has been signed off and all corporate ID information has been agreed and supplied.

The prototyping stage enables the client to assess the general look and feel of the site based on the agreed skeleton and specified web identity.

NOTE - During skeleton and prototype production the client must be preparing all content.

FULL IMPLEMENTATION (STAGE 1)

The 1st stage of full production sees the implementation of content. During this period the client must supply regular feedback via a single point of contact.

MID PRODUCTION MEETING

This meeting is to assess the progress of the project with the client.

This is the last chance to make any structural or major changes.

FULL IMPLEMENTATION (STAGE 2)

Stage 2 of full production sees the implementation of all alterations identified in the mid-production meeting.

Continued implementation of content & testing.
