Here is a brief introduction to the Paneris collective.
The core members are highly qualified programmers:
Tim Pizey | 39 | MSc in AI from Edinburgh |
Tim Joyce | 29 | Freelance java programmer |
Myles Chippendale | 29 | 2.1 in Maths (Oxford), Distinction in AI MSc Edinburgh |
William Chesters | 28 | 1st Maths and Philosophy (Oxford), MSc AI Edinburgh |
Our main graphics designer has a 1st in graphics design from Coventry.
In addition we have some 12 graphics designers, html authors, and data entry people.
All of us are self employed.
We all work on our own projects using the Paneris website.
Paneris enables us to record project documents, communications and, crucially, our time, budget and invoice information. This is carried out using our online database.
The collective enables graphic designers to sell sites with technical backends, and the programmers can sell technical sites and hire in the graphics.
The Bloomsbury Publishers site was implememnted by Tim Joyce and designed by Colin Rainsforth. The book reviews are maintained on a per book basis by Jenny Paton.
However what we are particularly keen to increase is the number of multiple programmer projects that we take on. The Iglu site came to us with a detailed design. Three programmers implemented it in 6 weeks, inventing our own templating language to interface with the database. We gained 5 stars from both the FT and NetProfit magazine, when the nearest other site recieved 3.
We would very much like to have the opportunity to develop a better site than Iglu using Java Servlet technolgy, which is should deliver a considerable improvement in performance.
We have just bought our own server but it is still under development.
We can help with the most ambitious web projects:
We would wish to form a long term relationship with companies seeking to outsource web development
